Who are the Grammys at Goin' 2 Grammy’s?
The two original Grammys live in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania. Their friendship was at first centered around learning to knit and sharing baby furniture when their out-of-state kids came home with their darling grandbabies!
One of the Grammys, formerly from Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania area, moved to the Philadelphia area to attend college. She met and married her husband just after college and they stayed in the Philadelphia area, moving to Newtown Square in the 1980’s. While raising two small children, she and her husband often traveled to the Miami and San Antonio areas and back to Bloomsburg to visit grandparents. Finding baby equipment to use during the visits was always a challenge! When she began having children and grandchildren coming to visit her, she found herself trying to remember where she stashed the high chair, crib, and pack and play, and will the car seat still be big enough!
Another Grammy is originally from Corning, NY, and moved to Newtown Square over 20 years ago with her husband and two children,. Prior to that, because of the nature of her husband’s career, she had moved over 15 times in nearly as many years. Her children were very young during those moves and she is no stranger to the difficulty of schlepping babies and equipment on planes, trains and automobiles! Now she has very young grandchildren living in other states. So now the challenge is to provide carseats, cribs, pack and plays, highchairs, strollers and other essentials for her grandkids when they come to visit her!
